Fred Couples struggled on the outward half in the first round of the Masters. He shot four over par, including five bogeys and one birdie leading to a 40 on the front nine. He was unable to get anything going on the back nine - bogeying the 14th and birding the 15th between seven pars.

Fred Couples holed his tee shot on the seventh hole in the traditional Wednesday par 3 contest at the Masters. Fred finished the exhibition tournament at -2, three shots behind Rory Sabbatini. His playing partners were Ray Floyd and Fuzzy Zoeller.
Fred also played a practice round on Wednesday as well.
