The course was closed immediately after the decision to turn it into a soccer field. Rumor has it that the employees were locked out of the building as soon as the news went public, what was that all about? They were still having Friday fish fry night and the course was open all year weather permitting, they didn’t even give long time customers a chance to say goodbye. They used city trucks to plow the snow out of the parking lot at a time when cars could not move in the street, they tore down the building fenced the property off, and when I went there on September 1, 2008 it still remained untouched, they could have at least allowed one last season. Now that they destroyed the course, where is the soccer field?

Wow! I can't believe my eyes! It is a shame and pathetic to be honest that golf courses have to shut down. There is no shortage of football fields. If anything there are less golf courses out there! Heck, Orchard Hills is more known for their golf! Anyway to boycott this poor of an excuse called promotion, if you will?

Hi,
The soccer fields are neccessary but its not fair to close the golf course for the sake of football.
The children should be provided with parks, football grounds in any other place instead of orchard hills.

Hi,

What a great shame that any golf course should have to close. I don't understand why they couldn't build the football grounds elsewhere. Is there a shortage of land available for this sort of thing in your locality
