Idaho nabs its first ASGCA member
Neat story about architect David Druzisky, who moved his family from Phoenix to Idaho.
“I always enjoyed being on the golf course, especially with my dad,” said Druzisky, who grew up in Arizona and California as the son of a golf course superintendent. “Like a lot of us when we were kids and had a passion for golf, I was always doodling golf holes. And I just made it real.”
Druzisky practices his rare craft in a quaint loft office in Downtown Boise. He already has hooked up with two local courses — Shadow Valley and Quail Hollow, both in Boise — to help them make improvements.
He discovered Idaho while working on a renovation at Crane Creek Country Club in Boise and building the Links at Teton Peaks near Driggs.
“This area could really use some neat golf, and it’s suited for it,” said Druzisky, a 41-year-old father of three. “It would be nice to help a lot of the golf courses around town.”
Further information on his update to Shadow Valley can be found in this story.
