Running Horse owner looked gift horse in the mouth

Golf course architect Donald Trump pulled a fast one - a day after reporting that the Donald’s bid for the troubled Running Horse project had been pulled, the property’s developer accepted the Donald’s $40 million bid.

Owner Mick Evans signed a letter of intent with Trump for the sale of the troubled course, Evan’s attorney Harry Pascuzzi said Wednesday. The two agreed on a $40 million deal in which Trump will pay Evans $25 million up front and $15 million in future profits.

The deal will have to be approved by a federal bankruptcy judge, Evans said.

Now, I’m expecting the Donald to live up to his statement that this project “will be the talk of the country”.
