Hooters: a “mainstay” on Tour

Well, the PGA Tour tournament is in my backyard this week and I caught this gem in the local paper yesterday.

Kris Cox, who is playing in the TPC at Sugarloaf tournament for a third year, said his extracurricular activities when he’s in Duluth are limited to eating at some local barbecue places and maybe a trip to Hooters – which he refers to as a “mainstay” on the tour.

“Downtown (Atlanta) is a pretty good ways away and I’m kind of here to work,” Cox said.

“When you’re staying close to downtown and you’ve got a lot of options, sometimes you end up staying up a little later than you want to.”

Kris sounds like an interesting fellow. Let’s hope he is interviewed more often.
